GA’s

Girls in Action are learning about Bill and Arlene Barker.  Bill is a native of West Virginia,  growing up in the state’s rugged coal mining country.  He left in 1969 with plans to never return, but seven years ago God told him to return and minister to the people there.

He ministers to the people of all the states listed:  AL, GA, SC, TN, NC,KY, VA, WV, OH, PA, MD and NY.  He travels about 50,oo0 miles per year ans spends as many as 180 nights away from home each year.

The GA’s are collecting canned goods to give to a needy family or local ministry as their special project for the month.  There is a donation box provided in foyer.

GA- means ” girls in action”–which is for girls grades 1st – 6th which meet at 7pm upstairs in the preschool department.

GA’s learn about missionaries, do mission projects and pray for the Southern Baptist missionaries. Always on Wednesday meetings there is a mission lesson and / or project.  Completing their night with a special snack and fellowship.
