We send different baskets for various holidays but other ministry teams is our  WMU and “Sisters in Christ”. The residents  receive hand made cards by the preschool Sunday school classes, GA’s and Mission Friends.  Different members  hand deliver these cards to each Nursing Home before the special Holiday.

If you want to see true joy, let that resident love on the child that is assisting with the delivery of the cards. The happiness of a child’s hug is priceless .

There are GREAT needs for more visitors at both Nursing Homes and Assisted Living of Providence Home  in Ozark.  Each resident truly loves and appreciates every conversation, visitor, reading of the Bible and especially prayers.  The residents are remarkable people with so much to offer to each of us if given the opportunity.

Each Sunday morning there are 2 ladies who visit the lady inmates  at Dale County Jail and conduct a regular church service of singing and Bible study.  The ministry is made up of volunteers from different churches and the inmates come on their free will.

Their privacy is respected at all times with no questions asked.  Usually there are 10+ women in each session.

On Monday at 8 pm a Bible study is held covering different books of the Bible. They are  allowed to speak about anything in total confidence.  The volunteers  help them by calling family & friends, writing  letters, etc.  These volunteers are trying to help them start over with God’s help.

• Paperback Bibles and devotionals
• Christian magazines and books
• Reading glasses
• Notebook paper, envelopes and stamps
